MANILA, Philippines – Philippine carriers cancelled select domestic and international flights Friday, October 21, due to Typhoon Lawin (Haima), which has already left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
As of Friday morning, Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced the cancellation of the following flights:
Domestic
- PR2196 - Manila - Laoag
- PR2197 - Laoag - Manila
- PR2198 - Manila - Laoag
- PR2199 - Laoag - Manila
- PR2084 - Manila - Basco
- PR2085 - Basco - Manila
International
- PR 300/301 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- PR 318/319 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- PR 306/307 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- PR 313 - Hong Kong - Manila
- PR 353/352 - Macau - Manila - Macau
Affected passengers may rebook within 30 days from original flight date or within the ticket's validity period.
They may also call PAL hotline (+63 2) 855-8888, visit any PAL ticketing office or partner travel agent, or the airline's website at www.philippineairlines.com.
Cebu Pacific also cancelled the following flights:
Domestic
- 5J196/197 - Manila - Cauayan - Manila
- 5J504/505 - Manila - Tuguegarao - Manila
CEBGO Flights
- DG 6004/6005 - Manila - Laoag - Manila
International
- 5J 110/111 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- 5J 118/119 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- 5J 114/115 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- 5J 142/143 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
According to the airline, passengers of these cancelled flights may avail any of the following options without penalties:
- rebook their flights for travel within 30 days from original departure date
- full refund or travel fund
Cathay Pacific, meanwhile, cancelled these flights:
- CX 903/906 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- CX 918/919 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
- CX935/900 - Manila - Hong Kong - Manila
